Ljubljana Fashion Week (LJFW) is a platform for Slovenian fashion, connecting established designers, emerging labels and new creative talent with local and international audiences. Founded in 2014, it has grown into a meeting point for designers, media and the wider creative community in Slovenia’s capital.
From its first edition, featuring fashion films and public projections, LJFW has explored different ways of bringing fashion to audiences. Its programme has since encompassed runway shows, exhibitions, talks, student presentations and the LJFW WOW awards, with a continuing focus on independent design, experimentation and emerging talent.
International exchange is an important part of its work. Through connections with Fashion Scout SEE, Belgrade Fashion Week, Budapest Central European Fashion Week and Berlin Fashion Week, LJFW has helped strengthen dialogue across the region and create opportunities for Slovenian fashion beyond its home market.
LJFW continues to support a stronger fashion community, encourage collaboration and give distinctive creative voices the visibility they need to grow. For international audiences, it offers an entry point into Slovenia’s contemporary fashion scene and the designers shaping its future.
